Featuring dual 5-inch mid/bass drivers, the 5040s produce a rich, dynamic sound. The continuous curved cone design with increased power handling ensures excellent dispersion, controlled frequency response, and reduced harmonic distortion for superior bass dynamics and smooth integration with the 1-inch tweeter.

The tweeter is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated from the front baffle to mitigate internal cabinet pressure and mid/bass driver resonances. Sitting in a vented inner chamber, the tweeter's lowered crossover point enables seamless integration through the crossover region, cutting distortion.

The rear-ported, solid MDF enclosures are built using P2P internal bracing, stiffening the cabinets to dampen and dissipate unwanted acoustic energy. This provides the drivers with a rigid, non-resonant environment to function at their best, minimizing lower frequency vibrations, focusing stereo imaging, and improving the soundstage for uncompromised sound quality.

With a frequency response of 39Hz - 30kHz, the 5040s can handle an amplifier power range of 25-150W and offer a sensitivity of 91.5dB/w/m. The crossover frequency is set at 2.5kHz.
